POSITION OVERVIEW The Manager/Senior Manager of Financial reporting is a highly visible role will lead and scale our technical accounting and financial reporting function and be responsible for the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements. Additionally, this position will support the overall accounting function in its financial close process, manage our external audits, serve as a critical thought partner across finance and accounting and business leadership, and play a key role in establishing scalable processes that align with SOX compliance and enterprise financial standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead technical accounting research and documentation to ensure compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations. Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including global consolidations and variance analysis. Provide accounting guidance on complex transactions (e.g., revenue recognition, leases, M&A, equity compensation). Drive implementation of and adherence with new accounting standards and maintain up-to-date accounting policies and procedures. Partner with external auditors, manage the external audit process, and prepare required supporting documentation. Supervise and develop a global accounting team across financial reporting, technical accounting, and consolidation functions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess financial implications of key business transactions and activities.
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA required 5+ years of progressive accounting or audit experience, with a strong emphasis on technical accounting and SEC reporting Big Four (or equivalent) public accounting experience preferred Hands-on experience with GAAP research, application, and documentation of technical accounting memos/position papers Proven experience preparing and reviewing SEC filings (i.e. Forms 10-K, 10-Q Strong proficiency in US GAAP, SEC reporting, consolidation, and internal controls Proficiency with equity compensation, revenue recognition, business combinations, and lease accounting Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with Oracle NetSuite a plus Proven team leader with strong managerial skills and experience working with cross-functional teams, external auditors, and third-party advisors Ability to manage and mentor global teams and influence across multiple levels of the organization Exceptional analytical, organizational, and project management skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting issues to non-financial stakeholders High attention to detail, strong process orientation, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines Solutions-oriented, proactive mindset with a strong work ethic and ownership mentality Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, always-on environment Ability to deal with ambiguity and imperfect information
