Volunteers are now needed for home construction and home repairs. If you are looking for a way to give back and a hands on way to impact lives, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity is the way to do it! Join our construction staff and volunteers in changing lives in your own community.
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Centre County (HFHGCC) is one of 1,000 independent affiliates of Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI). Since launching in the greater Centre County region 40 years ago, HFHGCC has built, renovated, or repaired over 100 homes in partnership with qualified homeowners.
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Centre County is a nonprofit, nondenominational housing organization. Habitat welcomes all people -- regardless of race, religion, ethnicity or any other difference -- to build simple, decent, affordable houses with those who lack adequate shelter. We construct quality houses that are sold to homebuyers through no-profit, no-interest loans. Homebuyers complete 350 sweat-equity hours and other requirements, pay for their homes and all upkeep, and maintain current payments on their properties.
