Griffin Resources is recruiting on behalf of Bay to Bay Properties located in Safety Harbor, FL.

Bay to Bay is a Florida based commercial construction management firm with projects currently throughout the state of FL, GA, SC, and NC, and Mid-Atlantic regions. We offer competitive compensation and benefit packages as well as an energetic, teamwork-oriented culture.

We’re looking for a Commercial Construction Project Manager to lead projects from start to finish, ensuring they’re delivered on time, within budget, and to quality and safety standards. You’ll handle planning, scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor management, and client communication while proactively resolving issues and keeping projects on track. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented leader with strong organizational and communication skills who thrives in fast-paced construction environments.

Hours: Full-time | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Location: 201 Main Street, Ste. 300 | Safety Harbor, FL 34695

Travel: Some travel required to out-of-state job sites; on-site presence not always required but encouraged.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of construction projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and purchase orders.
  • Participates in scheduled meetings to review project timelines, resource planning, and look-ahead schedules with the superintendent and subcontractors.
  • Lead project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation to meet scope and objectives, using established SOPs and processes to ensure project success.
  • Qualify subcontractor bids, execute buyouts, and monitor subcontractor performance.
  • Review subcontract documents and develop scopes of work. Work with Estimating to fully understand what was included/ excluded from the bid.
  • Manage project accounting by setting budgets, approving expenses, and working with the accounting team to control costs and minimize risks.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety compliance and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to maintain project alignment.
  • Facilitate client and consultant meetings; manage approvals for payments, variations, and change orders.
  • Monitor project progress, troubleshoot delays, and provide timely updates to management.
  • Maintain complete and accurate project documentation and revise plans as needed.
  • Identify potential disputes or claims and proactively address issues before escalation.
  • Promote efficient, cost-effective work practices while upholding the company’s reputation and goodwill.
  • Ensure strict adherence to occupational health and safety standards to minimize accidents and downtime.
  • Oversees project closeout and post-construction activities, including punch lists, final inspections, and timely completion of all remaining work.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field. Preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in commercial and/or industrial construction project management.
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager on multifamily, hotel or high-rise construction projects.
  • Experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of the project management lifecycle with both field and office experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and project resources effectively.
  • Strong safety background with knowledge of construction practices, MEP systems, labor, and material costs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Microsoft Project; familiarity with Procore is a plus.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a process-improvement mindset.
  • Ability to travel as needed for project oversight or owner meetings.
