Interfacing directly with traders to understand their use cases and the nuances of a given model Collaborating on end-to-end research initiatives to map elements of trader intuition into quantitative models Optimizing and supporting existing models Driving the company forward with new ideas that leverage market data Working with software engineers to ensure reliable data delivery and translating research results to production Performing duties for PEAK6 HC Holdings LLC or its affiliates as needed Your Experience
Experience working with Equity Derivatives 2-3 years in quantitative research, machine learning, statistics, quantitative trading, or related field involving modeling on large datasets Programming experience, Python preferred, especially for exploring large datasets Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Financial Engineering, or related quantitative field A demonstrated track record of applying modeling techniques to real-world problems Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts to define features and metrics for models Comfort implementing models from papers Experience handling large, noisy, or incomplete data sets and investigating data issues Our Rewards We offer a robust package of employee perks and benefits, including healthcare benefits (medical, dental and vision, EAP), competitive PTO, 401k match, parental leave, and HSA contribution match.
