Overview Eisenstein Malanchuk LLP seeks a perceptive, motivated Associate Attorney to join its Washington, DC office. The firm focuses on assisting corporate and municipal policyholders in recovering insurance proceeds, supporting parties responsible for environmental remediation, and resolving complex disputes. The ideal candidate will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team of attorneys and non-attorneys, providing sophisticated legal, scientific, and financial analysis for clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to municipalities and small businesses.
Responsibilities
Manage and support client matters with a focus on insurance recovery, environmental remediation, and corporate disputes. Conduct comprehensive legal research, analyze statutes, case law, and legal precedents relevant to complex claims. Draft, review, and respond to correspondence from insurers. Represent clients in meetings, negotiations, and mediations under the guidance of a senior attorney. Collaborate closely with attorneys, non-attorneys, and clients for unified and efficient problem-solving. Maintain strict confidentiality of client data and secure management of case files. Remain up-to-date on changes to legislation affecting the firm\'s practice areas. Report substantive developments, billable hours, and case progress to supervising attorney. Qualifications
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in Washington, DC or eligibility for immediate admission. 1+ years of relevant legal experience in insurance, corporate litigation, environmental law, or related practice areas (preferred). Superior legal research, analytical, writing, and oral communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills. Commitment to client service, confidentiality, and commercial awareness. Proficiency with MS Office and LexisNexis.
