POSITION SUMMARY Our Corporate Owned Life Insurance (COLI) organization is looking for a

Investment Operations Director

to lead all Investment Product Management activities for $3B of assets under management including 11 separate accounts and 50 funds. Primary business contact with external investment managers, guarantors, custodians and providers of financial futures and derivatives, representing 40 different asset classes. Oversee COLI product management including market analysis, business analytics, product enhancements and implementation, new sales quotes, policy administration technology development and support, and all custody/pricing/trading functions. This is a HYBRID position that requires on-site presence at times in our Bloomfield, CT location. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Develops and maintains investment offerings to attract new and retain existing client assets. Creates strategic positioning of investment options within COLI products based on knowledge of client funding objectives, capital market conditions and product/portfolio structuring alternatives. Implements changes to investment platform through compliance/regulatory actions, investment management/participation agreements, client/broker communications, accounting, treasury and COLI administration. Collaborates with due diligence team on development and application of manager evaluation and analysis of peer group performance and portfolio characteristics. Actively participate in manager monitoring and selection/de-selection process through COLI Investment Committee. Negotiates and executes all third-party investment management agreements, participation agreements, and service agreements. Enforces ongoing compliance with investment guidelines and other terms in the agreements. Coordinates with internal partners on applicable stable value wrap agreement matters. Oversees all investment related external communications and reporting including monthly, quarterly or semi-annual performance and due diligence reports to clients, prospects, regulators, and internal constituents. Initiates and/or oversees interactions with state regulatory authorities on investment matters. Coordinates client meetings and presents investment related matters and performance results at client meetings. Establishes and maintains relationships with brokers, clients, asset managers and vendors. Oversees internal market update reviews and gathers market intelligence for consideration. Oversee policy administration technology maintenance and support. Manage updates to the policy administration technology for all product enhancements. Collaborate with COLI Finance and COLI Illustration Manager in developing new sales quotes and new product development. Responsible for overall custody relationships and account management. Responsible for outside services budget for technology and custody and responding to internal data requests. Encourages and facilitates exceptional results from staff. Aligns and supervises staff deliverables to meet organizational objectives. Actively manages staff to align with long-term career goals. Maintains open communications. Provides/solicits feedback. Reinforces cultural principles. Trains and transfers knowledge as appropriate. QUALIFICATIONS

10+ years experience in Accounting/Finance, including 5+ years in Investment Product Management. In-depth knowledge of investment/portfolio management across numerous asset classes, strategies and product structures/pricing (e.g., equity, fixed income, hedge funds/alternative investments, mutual funds, separate accounts, etc.). General knowledge of life insurance products; knowledge of COLI/BOLI products preferred. People management experience. Product ideation, development, implementation. Experience negotiating and managing external vendor relationships. Process management, project and program management skills. Proven communication, facilitation, consulting, partnering and interpersonal skills. Conceptual thinking, strategic leadership, drive for results, initiative, organizational awareness, problem solving, decision making, analytical skills. BA/BS required; CPA/MBA/CFA or equivalent preferred. FINRA Series 6, 63, 26.
