The manager will have responsibility for the Metrology Labs supporting Primary and Production Electronics, as well as the Test Asset Management team supporting Lab operations. This position involves leadership across multiple skill codes and bargaining units, and will require regular engagement with business partners spanning the Boeing enterprise. MATES is comprised of engineers, technicians and administrative personnel who support Boeing programs, business units and external/government customers by providing best value test asset management and metrology services through all phases of the product lifecycle. We are responsible and accountable to meet or exceed the safety, quality, cost, and delivery performance expectations established in customer negotiated service agreements. What is metrology? Metrology is the science of measurement. It establishes an unbroken chain of traceability for the measurement & test equipment (M&TE) on the factory floor or in the lab, allowing it to be referenced to higher levels of measurements back to the original definition of the international system of units (SI Units). Boeing relies on traceable M&TE to ensure that our manufacturing processes, research & technology, and test & evaluation activities are repeatable and reproducible. We are seeking candidates who are detail-oriented, possess strong written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrate effective problem-solving abilities. The ideal candidate will be able to manage tasks with accuracy and collaborate clearly and professionally with team members at all levels. Candidates also must have the physical ability to move around Lab and Production environments. NOTE: MATES periodically rotates managers in the Northwest to meet business needs and/or career development considerations. Future assignments may be in Auburn, Renton, Seattle, or Everett. Position Responsibilities Include

Lead a team of metrology engineers, technicians, and test asset management focal(s) as part of Metrology and Test Equipment Services (MATES) Establish rapport with, and serve as primary point of contact for key business partners Provide lab oversight and approval of technical approach Respond to production and customer related issues Lead initiatives to influence cross-functional improvements Actively manage lab operations using established Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery metrics Responsible for coaching, counseling, mentoring and providing developmental opportunities and job assignments to enhance employee performance and expand capabilities Conduct routine assessment of operational area compliance with command media Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement 3 years of experience managing projects 3 years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role Experience building strong business partner relationships Proficient utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite Willing to travel domestically as needed Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 35 pounds Physical ability to move around Lab and Production environments Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

Hands-on experience with Direct Current and Low Frequency (DC/LF) measurement, testing, and troubleshooting Knowledge of Radio Frequency and Microwave (RF/Mu) systems, components, and test equipment Foundational understanding in the fundamentals of electronics and/or electrical engineering 3 years of experience in collaborative problem solving and building lasting relationships Experience with Metrology Quality and/or Lab Management experience Additional Details
