Within GSSO, the Global Marketing team designs digital and in-person marketing programs to help prospective customers understand how Gartner’s insights, advice, and tools can help them achieve the mission critical priorities that drive organizational performance. The team accelerates sales activity by attracting, engaging and converting prospects through the delivery of compelling experiences across the buyer journey. About this role The VP, Marketing is a member of the GSSO Global Marketing team, reporting to the MVP of Global Marketing. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the digital experience of our public-facing Gartner.com – developing and implementing strategies to create seamless and engaging customer interactions across the platform. You will lead a team of technical product managers, UX/UI researchers and designers, creative designers, copy writers, and copy editors, while partnering closely with other leaders across Marketing, Sales, IT, Product and other stakeholders, to improve website traffic and conversion rates of prospects into Marketing Leads and attendees for our conferences. What you’ll do
Website Design, Optimization and Management: Oversee public Gartner.com from end-to-end, including product management, content hosting, web operations, creative design and user experience (UX) of digital platforms, ensuring they are intuitive, effective, and engaging. Implement innovative solutions and website optimization that will increase traffic for Gartner.com and ensure Gartner stays ahead in the digital landscape. Utilize analytics to understand customer behavior, measure the impact of digital initiatives, and identify areas for improvement Strategic Planning
Develop and implement the overarching strategy for digital experiences across various touchpoints to align with business goals Partner closely with MVP, Global Marketing, peers in Marketing, and senior-level leadership to align on business goals Drive rigorous prioritization in close partnership with MVP, Global Marketing & Sr. Director, Strategy & Ops to ensure program budget and resources are aligned to high-impact work Team Leadership
Guide, mentor, and lead a team of web product managers, operation specialists and creative designers, content copywriters and editors Establish a customer-centric, no-limits mindset for stakeholders and team members Foster collaboration with partners and stakeholders across Marketing, Communication, Brand, Product, and IT teams to ensure a cohesive and high-quality digital experience Support performance management processes, career development, and additional talent processes in close partnership with HR What you’ll need Education & Professional Experience: Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s and/or Doctoral degree strongly preferred. Degrees with marketing, marketing strategy, product management, business management preferred 15+ years progressive business experience, preferably in a strategy/marketing role or business consulting role 8+ years managing marketing teams, especially product or performance marketers Significant experience in B2B technology marketing and B2C marketing with experience positioning to both business decision makers and technical audiences Strong website optimization and A/B testing experience Skills: Team Leadership : The ability to develop, coach, and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals. Analytics & Data Tools : Proficiency in digital analytics tools, tag management systems, and data analysis tools Web Technologies : Experience with content management systems and an understanding of SEO/accessibility best practices Innovative/Creative Thinking : Strong demonstrated ability to look at problems from new angles, developing "out-of-the-box" ideas that may not follow traditional patterns but are more effective Reporting & Insights : The ability to transform complex data into compelling narratives and drive strategic decisions Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex digital concepts to senior executives and stakeholders.
