Electrical Engineering Director

to lead and shape the electrical engineering discipline, mentor the team, and drive operations and client success.

Be the Benchmark : Lead QA/QC for electrical deliverables as Engineer of Record (EOR), ensuring accuracy, safety, and code compliance for calculations, schematics, and system studies. Lead with Purpose : Develop people, shape processes, and elevate team performance through mentoring, technical training, and establishing best-in-class standards and workflows. Department Builder : Manage daily workload and long-term growth, balance staffing with project needs, lead weekly resourcing meetings, and recruit top talent to evolve the team. Execution Driver : Own the flow of work from concept through delivery—on time and on budget; oversee arc-flash studies, multi-discipline facility designs, and project scopes/schedules. Client Partner : Serve as the technical face of ZAP for clients; sponsor projects, manage client relationships, and support business development by scoping opportunities and aligning deliverables with client expectations. Qualifications

10+ years

of electrical engineering experience on multi-disciplinary projects 3+ years

in a supervisory or leadership role Bachelor’s degree

in electrical engineering (or equivalent experience) Professional Engineer (PE) license

PEng license

(preferred)

Excellent communication and leadership skills with experience guiding technical teams through complex deliverables Strong technical background in equipment sizing, medium voltage relay programming, hazardous area classification, and electrical design Strong understanding of power system analyses (load flow, short circuit, coordination, arc-flash, motor starting, harmonics) with familiarity with analysis tools (ETAP, SKM, EasyPower) Collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with ability to see the big picture while handling details Growth-oriented mindset focused on mentoring and developing team members Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary Range:

$156,000 – $234,000 annually, depending on experience. Total Rewards Package Includes:
