Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial electrical tasks throughout the facility.
- Document completed work and conditions found, utilizing maintenance computer software as needed.
- Install, maintain, test, evaluate, and repair various electrical components and systems, including medium voltage automation systems and motor control circuits.
- Interpret mechanical/electrical schematics, blueprints, and operation manuals.
- Operate forklifts and/or scissor lifts safely.
- Adhere to all safety rules and regulations, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Work in various environmental conditions, including wet/humid settings and varied heights, while following safety protocols.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be authorized to work in the US without any humanitarian Parole status related to Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, or Venezuela, and not requiring visa sponsorship.
- Must have a valid and active Rhode Island Electrical B or M license.
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, and twisting safely, with or without accommodation.
- Willingness to work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions and follow PPE requirements.
- Experience with basic computer usage.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for maintaining electrical components and systems, including medium voltage automation systems and motor control circuits.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Technical diploma or certification from a trade school, or at least two years of relevant work experience.
- Advanced troubleshooting experience with electrical components and systems.
- Familiarity with programming software, such as Rockwell or Siemens.
- Experience with food industry technology, like scales and metal detectors.
- Experience in creating, installing, and troubleshooting wiring system layouts and circuit routing.
- Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) and Electronics Programming (PLC).
