Responsibilities
- Repairs, maintains, and modifies electrical systems, components, or equipment in accordance with applicable code and industry standards.
- Assesses and performs preventive maintenance schedule and related work to assure proper functioning of equipment, systems, and components.
- Trouble-shoots equipment, using test equipment, technical manuals and blueprints.
- Monitors, repairs, and maintains the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical, fire alarm/detection systems and plumbing systems and equipment throughout the building to assure safe, efficient, and economical operations.
- Completes work orders and related documentation.
The Journeyman Electrician reports as directed by the Director/Manager of Engineering/Facilities Services. This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements. Frequent exposure to hot water pipes, electrical wiring, and extreme changes in temperature. Qualifications
- Oklahoma Electrical Journeyman license
- Knowledge of codes and construction regulations from a variety of licensing and approval agencies, such as Joint Commission, Federal Register, Life Safety code, National Fire Protection codes, State Health Department, and Environmental Protection agency
- 4 years electrical construction experience under the supervision of a journeyman or contractor
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written)
