We are seeking an experienced and mission-driven

Director of Finance

to join our team in Naples, FL. The Director of Finance will oversee all financial operations, ensuring the organization’s fiscal health and supporting its mission and long-term goals. This role works closely with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and senior leadership to provide strategic financial guidance, manage budgets, ensure compliance, and lead a high-performing finance team. If you’re a financial leader with nonprofit experience, strong technical skills, and a passion for mentoring others, we’d love to meet you. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the organization’s mission and growth plans Manage accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis using QuickBooks and Excel Ensure accuracy of financial records and compliance with all regulatory requirements Prepare and present financial reports to the Executive Director and Board of Directors Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, including financial models for long-term planning Analyze financial trends, costs, and revenues to inform strategic decisions Provide financial guidance for enrollment processes and government funding considerations Lead the Finance and Investment Committees, providing strategic financial leadership Mentor and develop finance team members, fostering continuous improvement Manage relationships with external partners, including auditors, banks, and insurance providers Oversee tax filings, audits, and financial compliance activities Represent the organization at internal and external meetings as needed Complete confidential strategic assignments for the Board of Directors Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required) Proficiency and recent experience with QuickBooks and Excel (required) Experience with other accounting, CRM, and payroll software (preferred) MBA or CPA credential (strongly preferred) 10+ years of progressive financial management experience, including 5+ years in nonprofit finance Proven success in financial strategy, budgeting, reporting, and compliance Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain financial information to non-financial audiences Passion for the organization’s mission and mentoring team members High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Seniority level
