Oversee the editorial process for stories in multiple newscasts and digital platforms Manage team of producers and productions of newscasts Define strategic direction for content coverage to meet editorial objectives Approve stories and scripts in newscasts Work with Reporters and Anchors in developing stories and social media presence Lead team in breaking news situations Work on special projects as assigned Recruit, hire and schedule producers along with other Executive Producers Execute strategies that engage and grow audiences across all platforms Collaborate with Marketing Department on the daily execution of news promos
Requirements & Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, TV/film or the equivalent At least 5 years’ experience in television or radio broadcast/production Must be able to interact well with video journalists, anchors, videographers, news managers, production and engineering staff Detail oriented Excellent verbal, written, and analytical skills Strong news judgment, journalistic integrity and understanding of viewer needs and expectations Utilize state-of-the-art television technology
