Unified Communications Engineer

This role will provide engineering support in the migration of legacy Avaya/Nortel systems to Microsoft Teams and EVoIP solutions for a large Federal Enterprise project. This role requires extensive travel (~45 weeks / year) to various locations within the US. Requirements: U.S. Citizenship is required Must possess an active TS clearance at the time of application, be willing and able to obtain SCI access, and pass a CI polygraph. Must reside in the Washington, DC area with a willingness to travel extensively within the United States. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Systems, or related IT Management or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience Minimum of 5 years of Computer Science or Information Systems experience or related Experience in deploying Microsoft Teams and EVoIP solutions Responsibilities: Provides technical direction and analysis for telecommunication activities, including planning, designing, configuring, integrating, installing, and maintaining large-scale voice, video, and data telecommunications/ communications networks and services with computer systems. Applies telecommunications/communications engineering principles and theory to propose design and configuration alternatives. Analyzes network performance, usage and traffic flows, accesses and interfaces, transmission techniques, and protocols to interface with computer systems. Responsible for complex engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities associated with one or more technical areas within the telecom function such as, but not limited to, network design, engineering, implementation, or operations/user support. Must have experience with multiple audio technologies and applications. Troubleshooting proficiency and demonstrated experience with customer interaction are required. Seniority level
