Job Description
We are looking for a Senior VoIP Engineer to join our team.
*This role requires an ACTIVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE
As a Senior VoIP Engineer, the individual will oversee and manage all components of the Cisco Unified Communication Manager cluster. In this role, the Engineer will monitor and control the performance and status of voice and video resources across multiple enclaves and locations utilizing software and hardware tools. Additionally, the individual will work to ensure all voice applicable STIGs and vulnerabilities are resolved or mitigated in a timely manner.
This full-time position requires a physical presence at the worksite.
Responsibilities:
Perform testing, provisioning, operations, and emergency responses for voice network operations.
Design, configure, and install VoIP hardware/software replacements and upgrades.
Develop and maintain all VoIP documentation (drawings, cut sheets, configurations, and deployment plans).
Identify and diagnose problems affecting voice services.
Provide day-to-day subject matter expert support for RKB tenant agencies.
Troubleshoot voice-related issues and outages, including during non-core hours.
Perform preventative maintenance on all devices within the VoIP area of responsibility.
Maintain current knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in voice and video services.
Perform other tasks as required by the Government contracting office.
Required Qualifications/Education and Experience:
Must have and maintain a Top Secret personnel clearance and be eligible for TS/SCI clearance.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Five (5) or more years of experience designing, building, and/or maintaining communications systems, with at least three (3) years of experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) Version 10.5 or newer.
Certified as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Collaboration or successful completion of the CLCOR exam.
Prior experience with Cisco Unity, Cisco Presence, Cisco Emergency Responder.
Knowledge of Cisco UCCX.
Experience with dynamic and static IPv4 routing and integrating with external SIP providers.
Proficient with SIP, SCCP, MGCP, DSN, PSTN, and H.323 systems and devices.
Qualifications/Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree.
