JOB SUMMARY The Senior Project Engineer / Project Manager is responsible for delivering and managing construction and engineering for the design, fabrication and installation of facilities and pipelines. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Assist with development of facility, equipment, and pipeline construction at both brownfield and greenfield locations. Responsible for all aspects of assigned projects, including conceptual evaluation, adherence to specifications, design, cost estimating, procurement, funding, contracting, construction, start-up, and turnover to Operations. Supervises construction while meeting all applicable codes, standards, and specifications that apply (i.e., DOT 49 CFR 192/195, ANSI B31.8/B31.4, 29 CFR 1910, North Slope specifications, etc.) Prepares development and execution plans to achieve construction schedule/milestones and minimize costs, delays and disputes. Ensures the project is meeting construction specifications and QA/QC standards. Develops execution plans, with any required work breakdown structures (WBS), in support of established strategies for Appraise, Develop and Define, Implement/Execute, Project Handover, and Closeout. Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results. Assist in the development and implementation of project engineering and project management programs and activities (including processes and procedures to support project preparation, construction planning, construction execution, commissioning and startup, and project closure and hand off). Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings. Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations. Other duties will be assigned to this position as needed. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree or higher in engineering or closely related field 10+ years of pipeline and plant construction work experience Skilled in application of Project Management tools and techniques Ability to accurately solve problems Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities. Self-starter with proven leadership skills, team player, comfortable working under pressure, and dedicated to developing workforce Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with special ability to translate complex technical information into an organized and presentable manner Knowledge of applicable codes and industry regulations for oil and gas facilities, with required experience with North Slope, AK operations Experience with pipelines, flowlines, separation, compression, water handling, SCADA, chemical injection, metering and instrumentation Thorough understanding of equipment design, fabrication and installation practices. Good management, administrative, and organizational skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Valid Professional Engineer (PE) certification Valid Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Seniority level
