Data Analyst/Report Writer:
SUMMARY: Provides information/analysis to the various business functions by developing, reviewing and analyzing reports to support business goals, objectives and initiatives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Nothing in this job description reflects management"s assignment of essential functions. It does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.
* Works closely with those in finance, manufacturing, planning, and procurement to provide day-to-day information and reports to support business needs. * Develop, run and distribute reports in Corvu. Modify existing reports, as required. Review/Analyze reports/data for accuracy. * Complete Adhoc reporting requests by developing and running reports per specifications of the requesting business unit/function. * Document and report process as required. * Monitor and schedule batches. Run IT month end.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS: * Must have demonstrated success in a team environment serving an end user community. * Demonstrate knowledge of manufacturing systems and process, financial systems, and inventory/distribution systems. * Direct hands-on experience with ad hoc query programs and reporting software. * Extensive practical knowledge of working with large databased and in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs and flow charts. * Experience with statistical reporting and analysis. * Must be able to create and maintain documentation.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE * Bachelor's degree in a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience * Experience with and knowledge of business processes/databases and report writing for finance, manufacturing, planning, and procurement functions COMMUNICATION SKILLS * Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills regarding functional and technical topics. * Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language. * Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical and procedure manuals. * Ability to write routine and complex reports and correspondence. * Ability to effectively present information to groups of employees, managers, customers or vendors. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS * Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. * Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and statistics. COMPUTER SKILLS * Excellent skills in MS Office applications and Corvu reporting. * 5+ years practical functional experience Report writing and ERP applications. REASONING ABILITY * Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. * Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
