Job Description

There is an open position for a CNC Programmer with Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company in Moorpark.

General Summary:

The CNC Programmer is responsible for designing fixtures and programming precision-machined parts. The position would be responsible for multiple CNC machines including 8 and 11 axis Swiss machines, Dual spindle lathes with live tooling, and 5 axis and 3-1/2 axis Mills. Parts are smaller in size, 12” max. Most runs are short, 10 to 200 pieces.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Complete fixture design using SolidWorks software. Complete part programs using Esprit software. Identifying tools needed with complete tool list and setup sheet. Working at the machine with machinists to run first piece and debug issues. Using proper methodology and cutting tools to produce quality parts that adhere to production and quality standards. Using proper feed, speed, and other cutting parameters based on work piece matls such as aluminum, steel, stainless steel, titanium and Torlon. Revising programs as needed based on engineering or production required changes. Other similar or related duties as required.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years’ Swiss style machine programming. Minimum 2 years’ experience with SolidWorks Minimum 5 years’ experience in CNC programming and operation 5 axis programming experience a plus Dual spindle lathe programming experience a plus ESPRIT software experience a plus Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints General knowledge of GD&T, and inspection tools Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Be able to communicate technical instructions Minimum High school education or equivalent. Must be able to meet all ITAR and BATFE background requirements

Compensation:

Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year. Salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
