Job Summary: The Data Engineer will build scalable, performant data pipelines for operational and analytical applications. You will work closely with data science teams to run ML/AI models on enterprise data and develop the supporting data infrastructure. This is a customer-facing role within a cross-functional team, requiring effective communication, autonomy, and collaboration. Due to federal contract security requirements, US Citizenship is mandatory. Responsibilities: Build full data pipelines from ingestion to visualization and analysis. Design and manage large-scale data warehouses, lakehouses, and data marts. Develop and optimize data transformation pipelines using tools like dbt. Ensure data governance, quality, lineage, and documentation standards are maintained. Create efficient SQL queries and Python data processing jobs. Balance computational load, performance, and cost effectively. Skills: Advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related fields. 5+ years of data and analytics engineering experience in cloud environments. Expertise in SQL, Python, schema design, and data governance tools. Experience with ETL, data transformation, and orchestration tools like Airflow, dbt, Terraform. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and in teams. Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Kafka, Spark, or Flink is a plus. This role is remote, based out of Washington, DC, with potential travel to client sites. Flexible work-from-home options are available. Seniority level
