The Business Analyst provides the Research Compliance Department with systems maintenance, troubleshooting, work-arounds, and staff support. The department utilizes various systems, including Huron, SciSure, FIDDLE, Kuali, and SharePoint. Some systems are outdated, while others are newer or transitioning from older versions. The Business Analyst will support these systems, act as a liaison between the department, other BU units (including IS&T, EHS), and system vendors. Responsibilities include creating and testing scripts for system updates, providing training, and supporting staff and system users such as research staff and Committee members. Required Skills Bachelor's degree required; experience may be considered in lieu of education. Experience with Research Administration and/or Research Compliance preferred. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Excellent organizational, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively, both independently and within a team, to meet deadlines. Attention to detail and accuracy in high-quality work production. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, project management/collaboration tools (e.g., Smartsheets, Slack, Trello), G-Suite, cloud storage solutions (Dropbox, OneDrive), WordPress, and LMS content creation tools. Demonstrates stakeholder empathy, creative thinking, and experience in process improvement planning. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
