The University of Dayton's Research Institute (UDRI) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Information System Security Officer to join our dynamic Sensor & Software Systems division in Warner Robins, GA. The Information System Security Officer (ISSO) position supports the Air Force Rapid Sustainment Office (RSO), which increases mission readiness by rapidly identifying, applying, and scaling technology essential to the operation and sustainment of the U.S. Air Force. This role supports the government cyber lead and provides cybersecurity support for advanced software-intensive technologies, including agile manufacturing, conditioned-based maintenance, augmented reality/virtual reality, cloud-based infrastructure and services, and robotics. Responsibilities:

Serve as cybersecurity technical advisor, consultant, and primary point of contact for the Program Manager, Information System Owner, and other stakeholders for the Information systems Assess systems for vulnerabilities and provide corrective recommendations Support the government Cyber lead in performing RMF activities leading to system RMF acceptance IAW DoDI 8510.01, NIST 800-series publications, USAF policies, and guidance on RSO IT systems in various configurations Support, coordinate, and monitor system security posture; ensure adverse events are handled and reported Develop, review, and update documentation for RMF accreditation of systems Apply accepted methods for documenting RMF status within the DoD environment Implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) for all systems Manage projects in compliance with DoD and AF RMF policies, including: DoDI 8500.01 Cybersecurity Risk Management Framework DoD 8570.01 M - Information Assurance Training, Certification, and Workforce Management CNSSI 1253 - Security Categorization and Control Selection NIST 800-series Publications SP 800-53 - Security Controls and Assessment Procedures Cyberspace:

Perform system categorization, security control selection, implementation, assessment, and monitoring, including RMF steps as per DoDI 8510.01 Provide system performance reporting Support System Administrator for cloud projects and implementations Assist with Interim Authority to Test (IATT)/Authority to Operate (ATO) planning and execution Minimum Qualifications:

Associates Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field 3+ years relevant cybersecurity experience Experience with the NIST RMF process Experience applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) Must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or higher certification requirement (Security+ CE) Familiarity with DOD Information Assurance Vulnerability Management program Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance Must be a U.S. citizen due to research contract requirements Preferred Qualifications:

5+ years DoD cybersecurity experience IAT Level III or IAM Level I Certification Bachelors Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field Additive Manufacturing experience Experience with Secure Development Operations Systems Experience submitting security packages for DoD ATO/IATO Active Secret security clearance Familiarity with eMASS Experience with cloud services like Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Relevant cloud security certifications Experience managing project activities Special Instructions to Applicants:
