Job Summary
We seek a skilled and detail-oriented DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee the infrastructure and tools that drive our development and deployment pipelines. While not a core requirement, familiarity with MySQL is a bonus, as you may occasionally review and offer guidance on database-related changes proposed by engineering teams. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player with deep knowledge of cloud environments, CI/CD processes, and modern infrastructure best practices.
Key Responsibilities
DevOps Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and manage CI/CD pipelines to facilitate fast, efficient development and deployment cycles.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployments using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
- Conduct performance, scalability, and reliability testing across system components to ensure optimal functionality.
- Respond to production incidents and service-related outages, troubleshoot issues, and implement timely resolutions; occasional after-hours support may be required.
- Monitor and enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability through continuous optimization efforts.
- Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployment and release processes.
- Establish and maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting for systems and applications using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or AWS CloudWatch.
- Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS and Azure), ensuring compliance with security best practices and cost-efficiency guidelines.
- Offer input on MySQL database schema changes proposed by engineering teams as needed.
- Provide basic recommendations for performance tuning or assist with troubleshooting when necessary.
- Advocate for best database design and query optimization practices in collaboration with developers.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Hands-on experience with container orchestration platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.
- In-depth understanding of networking concepts and cloud infrastructure architectures.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages, including Python, Bash, or similar.
- Experience with logging and monitoring tools like ELK, Loki, or Prometheus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with MySQL or other relational database systems.
- Familiarity with cloud-based database services like Amazon RDS.
- Cloud platform certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP) are a plus.
