Responsibilities

We are seeking a Mid-level Software Architect to assist in designing and developing software solutions for complex application problems, including API design, data services, platform services, cloud services, and infrastructure services. The role involves ensuring solutions meet user requirements and align with strategic goals and the Enterprise Architecture. The Mid-Level Software Architect should understand and perform software development and contribute to high-level design decisions.

Duties may include:

  • Designing, developing, maintaining, and documenting software solution architectures, ensuring traceability to the Enterprise architecture and requirements.
  • Analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing software systems.
  • Proposing changes to the software architecture based on requirements analysis and emerging technologies.
  • Creating prototypes to evaluate new technologies.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Engineering, Engineering Management, Information Technology, Mathematics, System Engineering, or a related STEM field, or six years of experience as a Software Architect in lieu of a degree.
  • At least six years of experience in software design and architecture within government or industry.
  • Experience in cloud computing, service orientation, containerization, microservices, API development, or DevSecOps.
  • Experience building and delivering working products in a modern, cloud-based software environment.
  • TS/SCI clearance adjudication or the ability to obtain SCI clearance and pass a polygraph.

Desired:

  • Knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering, tools, processes, and languages.
  • Previous NGA and/or NSG/ASG program or project experience.
  • Previous IC or DoD program or project experience.

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This range is based on experience and other factors.
