POSITION SPECIFICS
Penn State is currently seeking a Director of Prospect Management to support the Office of Prospect Management and Analytics in their pursuit of being the leading source of strategic insights and innovative analytics to guide data-informed decision making. As a member of the Division of Development and Alumni Relations, you will play an integral role in Penn State’s future and contribute to one of the most successful fundraising and alumni relations operations in the country.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Prospect Management and Analytics and working closely with division leadership and central administration units, as well as other partners, this Prospect Management and Analytics Manager will:
- Manage and develop a team of Prospect Management and Analytics Specialists and Associates; provide regular coaching, training, and performance evaluation to ensure team effectiveness and growth.
- Translate fundraising goals into actionable research and portfolio strategies; set and enforce standards and protocols for prospect portfolio management.
- Work closely with Advancement Services, Annual Giving, and Alumni Relations teams for integrated engagement and outreach strategies.
- Articulate Penn State’s needs, ambitions, and values through excellent informal and formal communications.
- Foster a collaborative and data-driven team culture that supports innovation and efficiency.
The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrated willingness to engage in technical analytics.
- At least 3 years as a manager providing regular coaching, training, and performance evaluation to full-time employees.
- Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to create and maintain an inclusive and respectful environment for all students and colleagues.
- Experience producing and presenting complex reports, dashboards, and briefings to inform executive-level decision-making.
- Experience working independently on complex assignments.
- A proven ability to self-motivate and work both independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to professional development, learning, and being mentored.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree; 8+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted. Required Certifications: None

SALARY & BENEFITS
The salary range for this position, including all grades, is $76,700.00 - $115,100.00.
