Lead a global team of enterprise sales engineers and shape how technical pre-sales drives growth across segments and geographies. Responsibilities

Define and execute the global strategy for the Enterprise Sales Engineering (ESE) organization, aligning with Datadog’s enterprise growth objectives Lead annual and quarterly planning to accelerate the enterprise sales motion and position the team for long-term success Establish and communicate KPIs, benchmarks, and priorities with transparency across the ESE organization Develop a long-term vision and three-year strategic roadmap based on industry trends and Datadog’s multi-product trajectory Set the quality bar for all technical interactions with customers and own the consistency of engagements from discovery to validation Define and uphold performance standards; lead high-priority customer escalations and drive resolution while reinforcing trust Drive operational improvements, implementing scalable processes and metrics that align with Datadog’s goals Implement consistent processes across global regions and teams for repeatability and operational excellence at scale Communicate Datadog’s technical vision and goals; empower teams to deliver exceptional customer impact Anticipate and scale organizational capacity to match platform growth and expanding enterprise customer base Provide inspirational leadership and coaching to leaders across global regions; develop talent and promote a diverse, high-performing team Recruit, develop, and retain ICs and leaders; invest in career coaching and foster a culture of transparency and accountability Build trust and accountability with a focus on collaboration, inclusion, and shared success Cultivate a high-performance environment; empower teams to produce high-quality work and reach their potential Recruit and retain a diverse and accomplished team of ICs and leaders; provide meaningful career coaching to leaders and their teams Who You Are

10+ years of experience leading global enterprise technical pre-sales or enterprise sales engineering teams in high-growth, global B2B SaaS Proven ability to scale and operate a global Sales Engineering organization of 300+, with distributed teams across regions Track record of building world-class, customer-facing technical teams with operational excellence at scale Deep experience in pre-sales, including solution engineering, value selling, technical discovery, product demos, PoV, and competitive positioning Hands-on, servant leader who builds trust and leads with humility and a team-first mindset Experience navigating change management in dynamic, high-growth environments Strong decision-making, balancing strategic priorities with frontline realities Analytical and data-driven, with understanding of performance metrics, capacity planning, and funnel analytics Solid technical foundation and business acumen; ability to map customer challenges to Datadog’s multi-product platform Exceptional communication skills, engaging with executives, customers, and cross-functional partners Experience in SaaS; knowledge of observability, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or security preferred Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field; advanced degree preferred Benefits and Growth
