Overview Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Design Engineer, Electrical (Building HVAC). This is a Direct Hire position with a starting salary range: $80k - $100k based on experience. The position is based in San Francisco and is hybrid.

Salary Base pay range: $80,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr. This range may vary for positions in other locations and is dependent on experience and education.

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer to join our San Francisco office. In this role, you will work on a variety of projects ranging from small to large, providing technical support and leadership throughout the design process. You will collaborate with clients, contractors, architects, and internal teams, with a strong emphasis on innovation and sustainability. This position requires a self-starter with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Initiative and follow-through are essential.

Core Responsibilities

Collaborate with senior engineers throughout the electrical design and construction administration process.

Create electrical designs using Revit and other BIM tools.

Conduct analyses to develop design options and recommendations.

Assist in planning and designing electrical systems for commercial, educational, healthcare, and industrial facilities.

Support proposal development, cost estimates, and equipment schedules.

Propose innovative solutions to design challenges.

Coordinate project scope, design, and deadlines with project managers and senior engineers.

Review submittals and shop drawings; respond to RFIs in a timely manner.

Conduct site visits, feasibility studies, and prepare basis of design reports.

Manage tasks to ensure timely and budget-conscious completion.

Actively participate in design and construction meetings.

Communicate and collaborate across disciplines.

Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with Building/Energy Codes and LEED standards.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate / Qualifications

2-4 years of experience as an Electrical Designer or in a related role.

Strong knowledge of codes, standards, and engineering/construction processes.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Revit, and engineering analysis software.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

LEED Accreditation preferred.

Proficiency in Revit and BIM 360.

Strong working knowledge of state and local building codes, NEC.

Familiarity with MS Office tools.
