Overview
Sr. Business Development Lead, Amazon Shipping. Amazon is launching a new, fast-growing business aimed at transforming the shipping and logistics industry. We’re looking for experienced Business Development professionals to scale our business, ensuring our first customers succeed while building future use cases. This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape a high-impact initiative from day one. You’ll create and drive the Business Development strategy, influencing how we grow, scale, and serve customers, working with Product Management and Tech to challenge industry norms and design customer-obsessed solutions.
We’re seeking someone excited about building a business from its early stages, with experience bringing all types of customers to market. This is an opportunity to build something meaningful inside Amazon.
Key responsibilities
- Drive revenue, adoption and market share for our product
- Earn the trust of customers and create custom Amazon Shipping solutions that fit their business needs, working backwards from financial and other customer data
- Relay market needs and customer feedback to internal Amazon teams including Product Management and Technical
- Create program goals and metrics, track progress and manage through obstacles to achieve objectives
- Serve as the voice of the customer, and pursue new and innovative solutions that will continue to grow Amazon Shipping
Basic qualifications
- 7+ years of business development and/or sales experience, ideally working with ecommerce brands
- 3+ years’ experience building and executing GTM plans
- 3+ years’ experience working with CxO/VP level customers, using customer data to understand and solve complex business problems
- Experience working with brands and creating brand partnerships
- Bachelor's degree
Preferred qualifications
- Experience working with large retailers, brands and/or ecommerce companies
- Experience solving shipping/logistics problems for customers
- Strong experience bringing new products to market
- Startup or intrapreneurial work experience
- Experience influencing the product roadmap with customer feedback and use case development
- Experience defining and driving complex program initiatives with customers
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work and thrive in ambiguity at a rapid pace

Compensation: The base pay range for this position is $133,200/year to $220,200/year, depending on market location and other factors. Amazon is a total compensation company; equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits may be provided as part of a total compensation package. This position will remain posted until filled.
