Org Overview Amazon Health Services’ (AHS) mission is to improve health outcomes by making it dramatically easier for anyone to find, choose, afford, and engage with the quality products and services they need to get and stay healthy. Towards this mission, the Health Store and Tech team (HST), formed at the start of 2022, unifies disparate parts of the healthcare experience through shared services and tech to simplify how customers discover and engage with health and wellness products and services across Amazon.
Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions that meet business requirements and customer needs
Lead technical solutions from conception through deployment, including architecture decisions and implementation strategies
Participate in full software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and operations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Technical Program Managers, and other engineering teams
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to improving team's technical practices
Write high-quality, well-tested code following best practices and coding standards
Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation
Drive operational excellence through monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement
Basic Qualifications 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience with new and existing systems
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
3+ years of full software development life cycle experience including knowledge of software engineering best practices and design patterns
Experience with distributed systems and service-oriented architectures
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Experience with AWS services and cloud computing
Strong communication and collaboration skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
