Overview
Food Warehouse Manager at SSA Group. Reports to: Executive Chef.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement storage systems, policies and procedures to ensure maximum use and efficiency of space and storage areas in warehousing operations.
- Contact vendors to reconcile invoice discrepancies, shortages, over shipments or to arrange for emergency shipments or requisitions.
- Direct the department’s team: hire & recruit for new talent, integrate new team members, supervise assigned personnel, evaluate performance, develop, coach, issue documentation, and manage employee exits.
- Remain knowledgeable of and compliant with applicable local, state and federal laws.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment.
- Uphold and demonstrate a complete understanding of company policies and procedures.
- Direct and maintain efficient centralized warehousing operation by establishing control procedures for cataloging, inventory control, bulk storage and distribution of materials, equipment and supplies.
- Ensure SSAfety standards are met by upholding training and daily operational expectations for department staff.
- Supervise, as necessary, clerical data entry staff involved in transmitting all warehousing documentation to the corporate office.
- Coordinate all warehousing activities with management officials and representatives from the corporate office.
- Plan and supervise receipt, storage and distribution of supplies and equipment in large centralized warehousing operations.
- Supervise maintenance of facilities, material handling, equipment, and inventory warehousing control systems, manual or automated.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations.
- Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required.
- Compile and submit regular reports of damage, outdated stock or supplies, over and under shipments, return of goods to vendor, etc.
- Support unit in being an example for Company & Client guidelines with regard to Sustainability/Conservation efforts.
- Promote inclusivity and participation within the Brand team, with networking continuing at all units.
- Lead by example through Sustainability/Conservation efforts and provide teaching opportunities to unit staff as necessary.
- Engage with SSA/Unit in driving community effort through engagement activities and opportunities of giving back.
Job Requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to articulate to our team, Executive Chef, General Manager and HQ personnel as necessary.
- Proven leadership skills with an emphasis on team building/development and fostering partnerships.
- Exceptional problem solving and decision making skills with the ability to be organized.
- Demonstrates organizational and planning skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer and/or inventory system knowledge.
- Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods and to move and handle boxes (35lb – 50lbs or more) as necessary to operation.
- Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Driving company vehicle and/or golf cart within the scope of employment requires a valid driver’s license and is subject to a DMV check.

Experience
- Three - Five years minimum in food warehouse supervisor experience preferred.
- Background in receiving, storing, inventory and distribution of food & beverage in hotel, entertainment or cultural attraction venue is a plus.
- ServSafe or Food Certification a plus.
- All education backgrounds eligible, must be 18 years or older.
