Warehouse Manager Job at Action Staffing-Group in Baltimore

Our client, a food distributor in the Greater Baltimore Area, is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee all warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management. The role involves providing leadership and direction to warehouse supervisors and staff.

Salary range: $85,000-$95,000, commensurate with experience

Job Responsibilities:

1. Supervise staff, including staffing, training, coaching, performance management, and problem resolution. Ensure staff professionalism, competency, and motivation through effective selection, development, and evaluation. Oversee daily activities such as order selection, checking, loading, receiving, replenishment, equipment operation, inventory, and maintenance.
2. Promote safety by reinforcing safety programs, conducting safety meetings, and ensuring proper footwear and clothing. Ensure compliance with federal, state, OSHA regulations, and personnel guidelines. Uphold warehousing procedures to meet inventory control, order accuracy, product integrity, and food safety standards.
3. Collaborate with the Transportation Manager to optimize overall operational efficiency. Oversee truck loading/unloading, workload scheduling, and warehouse production to ensure timely and accurate operations.
4. Review stock reports, coordinate with inventory staff to maintain accurate inventory levels, and ensure proper handling and storage of materials to minimize losses.
5. Coordinate with maintenance personnel to ensure building and equipment are properly maintained.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent; BA preferred
• Minimum 4 years of warehouse management experience, including supervision, shipping, receiving, inventory, and facility maintenance
• Foodservice industry experience required
• Fluency in Spanish required
• Experience in multi-temperature warehouse environments preferred
• Experience with budgets, P&L, and Excel spreadsheets preferred
