Overview

Description SUMMARYProvides shipping and receiving to support projects, maintains inventory control, operate warehouse equipment, and participate in warehouse maintenance and cleaning. Work is performed with a high degree of independence.

Responsibilities

• Receives, stores, issues material and supplies to project sites.
• Loads and unloads supplies, materials and equipment, places incoming supplies on shelves or in assigned areas, ability to climb ladders to stock shelves, keep warehouse facility in an orderly and safe fashion.
• Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site, performing any combination of following duties: reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved; opens containers using standard hand tools; loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand; loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit; conveys materials to or from storage or work sites to designated area using hand truck, electric dolly, wheelbarrow, forklift or other device; secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination, using a crane or hoist or by signaling crane or hoisting operators; counts, weighs, and records numbers of units moved or handled on daily production sheet; attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on containers; stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together using banding machine and clincher; clamps sections of portable conveyor together or places conveyor sections on blocks or boxes to facilitate movement; lifts heavy objects by hand or using power hoist; cleans work area, machines, and equipment; assembles crates to contain/ship products using hand tools and pre-cut lumber; shovels loose materials into wheelbarrows, scrap trucks, or barrels; may occasionally operate forklift, truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products; and observes all safety and project rules.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver\'s license with driving record within company established parameters
• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
• Ability to work in an outdoor environment
• 0-2 years of experience
