Overview

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, inventory handling, cleanliness, and outbound logistics. This role ensures efficient and accurate movement of equipment and materials while maintaining safety, organization, and inventory integrity. The Warehouse Manager also leads warehouse staff and independent contractors to support operational and event demands.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive and process large freight shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and inventory records
  • Receive small package deliveries and distribute items to the appropriate departments or individuals
  • Pull inventory from shelves based on project-specific pull sheets and prepare for deployment
  • Physically check out and check in inventory using established processes to ensure tracking accuracy
  • Load trucks efficiently and safely for local and outbound shipments
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse floor, ensuring compliance with company and safety standards
  • Build and maintain warehouse racking and shelving, adapting layout for efficiency and growth
  • Initiate and maintain equipment handling training and documentation for warehouse personnel
  • Assist with inventory control tasks in collaboration with the Inventory Manager
  • Oversee the use, storage, and condition of equipment while in the warehouse
  • Maintain equipment storage areas, ensuring readiness for future deployments
  • Supervise Warehouse Associates and Independent Contractors, assigning tasks, providing training, and evaluating performance
  • Support asset preservation efforts through proper storage, cleaning, and preventive handling practices

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises Warehouse Associates and contracted labor during shipping/receiving and staging operations
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, safety standards, and procedural guidelines
  • Provides training and mentoring to new and existing warehouse team members
  • Assists with labor scheduling, performance management, and workflow delegation

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse or logistics management
  • Experience supervising teams in a warehouse or operations setting
  • Working knowledge of inventory systems and logistics workflows
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and inventory software
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the event production, AV, or LED industry
  • Experience with both short-term project-based and long-term inventory cycles
  • Mechanical aptitude for shelving, warehouse layout, and minor equipment repairs

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Regularly works in a warehouse environment, including exposure to forklifts, ladders, and various equipment
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods
  • Occasional work outside standard business hours based on operational needs
