The Warehouse Supervisor is a hands-on, hourly (non-exempt) leadership role responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations and assigned processes. This position supports the Warehouse Manager and/or Branch Manager in ensuring efficient and effective workflow across the warehouse. The Supervisor will actively participate in all warehouse activities as needed, including receiving, order fulfillment, stock replenishment, customer will-call, and inventory cycle counts, while providing guidance and oversight to the team. Responsibilities

  • Ensures the accuracy of inventory by participating in system or user-directed cycle counts. Verifies discrepancies and inputs correct counts into the RF Warehouse Management System.
  • Under guidance from the Warehouse or Branch Manager, lead the physical inventory process and complete all related tasks.
  • Primarily responsible for inventory control functions, including training staff and supporting receiving and cycle count activities.
  • Complies with and maintains all company inventory protocols and standards. Reports discrepancies, identifies efficiencies, and communicates changes or adjustments needed.
  • Replenishes stock using material handling equipment or manual methods with RF scanners; includes replenishment for picking stock, bin boxes, carton facing, pallet storage, product rotation, and checking for product mixing.
  • Delivers positive customer service by ensuring accurate inventory and providing staff training and support. Demonstrates exceptional service and guides others through example and follow-up support.
  • Resolves problems by working cooperatively with coworkers and supervisors.
  • Maintains and exceeds department standards for accuracy, efficiency, and customer service.
  • Maintains a safe work environment by following safety rules and keeping the warehouse clean.
  • May act in the absence of the Warehouse Manager as assigned.
  • Assists with and may directly supervise warehouse staff, including scheduling, directing activities, inbound/outbound shipments, inventory control, and supporting safety, quality, and efficiency initiatives.
  • Performs other responsibilities as assigned for the smooth operation of the branch.

Position Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 24 months warehouse or logistics experience.
  • Solid knowledge of HVAC/R products with experience in inventory control preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of the company’s operating system and technical systems.
  • Ability to drive a forklift and operate other warehouse equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive as needed.
  • Motivational qualities with supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency with personal computers; working knowledge of RF scanners and the company business system.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic and work with numbers.
  • Strong communication skills to resolve problems and achieve results.
  • High attention to detail and organized work processes.
  • Ability to work with others and motivate the warehouse team toward the mission.
  • Desire to support customers, employees, and the company as a whole.
