Overview
Texas Oncology is looking for a Phlebotomist to join our team! This position will support the North Austin location (12221 Renfert Way Suite 300 Austin, Texas 78758). Typical work week is Monday through Friday with no weekends or major holidays!!
Schedule: This position follows a rotating schedule, with typical shifts including 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, or 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM. For those working in Specimen Processing, shifts generally run from 8:45 AM to 5:15 PM, with occasional extensions to 5:30 PM. As the lab continues to grow, an additional shift from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM may be introduced in the future. Flexibility to rotate between these schedules is expected.

What does the Phlebotomist do? (including but not limited to)
Under direct supervision, is responsible for the collecting and processing of specimens from patients. Follows quality assurance and safety policies and procedures. Assists with patient flow as needed. Properly identifies patient, draws blood samples and sends to laboratory for analysis. Maintains collection areas and equipment and performs record keeping duties. Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines.
