Responsibilities
- The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients, whether during routine visits or for health decision insights.
- Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing in accordance with established practices and procedures.
- Interact directly with patients, explain procedures, and perform blood draws in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner to foster trust and confidence.
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors with a focus on process excellence and maintain confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
- Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties per established practices and procedures.
- Maintain necessary records and documentation.
- Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Requirements
- Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills including pediatric and geriatric populations.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
- Minimum of 6 months experience; 1+ years phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience required.
- Candidates should be within a 20–25 minute commute window to ensure travel to/from the site for coverage.
- Shift/Time Zone: Monday – Friday 6:00 am – 2:00 pm; Rotational Saturday 6:30 am – 10:30 am.
