Overview

This role is a plasma donor screener and phlebotomy support position at a BioLife Plasma Services center. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and contribute to donor safety, donor services, and center operations.

Responsibilities

• You will answer phones, greet donors, and focus on donor safety and service.
• You will screen new and repeat donors and record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
• You will use the Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• You will help identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes using company approved procedures.
• You will be available to work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays and Sundays and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire shift
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees
• Ability to lift up to 5 lbs, with occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs and rarely 50 lbs
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance
• 90% of work tasks may require prolonged glove wear due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1)
• 1 or more years of experience in a customer or patient-facing role is helpful
• Current license or certification in the state where duties will be assigned: CPT1, CPT2, CLS, or MLT

Compensation

Starting hourly wage: $19.50. The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements. US-based employees may be eligible for short-term incentives and benefits, including medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) plan with company match, disability coverage, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, holidays, and well-being benefits.

U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive up to 80 hours of sick time per calendar year and up to 120 hours of paid vacation for new hires.
