Phlebotomist at Duly Health and Care

Position Highlights

  • Full-Time, 40 hours/week
  • Hours: MondayFriday; variable 8-hour shifts between 7:00am6:00pm. Every other Saturday required (7:00am1:00pm).
  • Location: Orland Park. Travel required.

Responsibilities
  • Perform phlebotomy on adult and pediatric patients by venipuncture or capillary collection using aseptic protocols, with accurate patient identification and proper labeling.
  • Monitor phone and voice mail messages, as necessary.
  • Monitor collection supply inventory and order supplies as necessary.
  • Receive patients professionally and courteously utilizing AIDET and positive patient experience tools.
  • Perform specimen centrifugation, processing, preparation for reference lab transportation, storage and retrieval.
  • Utilize computer skills to access patient/testing information as necessary.
  • Prepare patient demographic sheets and accompanying paperwork for specimens as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean patient and working environment.
  • Perform other assigned duties, as needed.

Qualifications
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • National Phlebotomy Certification or qualified to sit for phlebotomy certification exam preferred.
  • Prior experience as a Phlebotomist or an equivalent combination of graduation from a certified phlebotomy school with healthcare work experience preferred.
  • Moderate knowledge of medical terminology; excellent verbal and written communication skills preferred.

Benefits & Compensation
  • Compensation: base pay range of $17.65$26.50 per hour, with pay determined by skills, experience, education, certifications, location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is part of total rewards package.
