Phlebotomist
We are seeking a skilled and experienced phlebotomist to join our team in a doctor's office setting. The role involves drawing patients' blood and performing specimen processing with precision and care. Responsibilities include:
- Collect and receive biological specimens into the department.
- Enter specimen data accurately into the company's computer system.
- Prepare samples for analytical testing and distribute specimens to the appropriate analytical area.
- Handle pre and post aspects of analytical testing responsibilities.
- Perform specified analytical testing as assigned.
- Adhere to the guidelines of the Code of Conduct.
Essential skills include:
- Proficient in blood draw and venipuncture techniques.
- Experience in specimen collection and laboratory operations.
- Knowledge of phlebotomy and specimen processing.
- Ability to provide patient care and ensure comfort during procedures.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- 1-3 years of prior phlebotomy experience.
Additional skills and qualifications include:
- GED or High School Diploma is required.
- Must be comfortable working independently.
The work environment is inside a doctor's office, drawing blood from patients and collaborating closely with medical assistants. This role is situated in a professional and wellness-focused environment. The position operates from Monday to Friday, with working hours from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The facility is equipped to support efficient and effective specimen processing and patient care.
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.36/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
