Phlebotomist I Job at ICONMA in Homestead

Our Client, a Medical Research company, is looking for a Phlebotomist I for their Homestead, FL location.

Responsibilities:

• The Phlebotomist I represents the face of the company to patients who come in, either as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
• The Phlebotomist I draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing, following established practices and procedures.
• The Phlebotomist I has direct contact with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence, explaining procedures, and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
• The Phlebotomist I demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence and maintaining sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
• Under the supervision of the area supervisor, performs daily activities accurately and punctually, maintains a safe and professional environment, and handles forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established protocols. Maintains records and documentation, and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• At least 12 months of phlebotomy experience.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience required.
