Overview

The Bradley hotel, located in the heart of downtown Fort Wayne, is seeking a self-motivated, reliable overnight cleaner.

Primary purpose of the position: The Overnight Cleaner’s primary responsibility is to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the hotel, including public areas, guest rooms, and restaurant outlets. They may perform some deep cleaning duties, such as shampooing and spotting carpet and fabric. They maintain cleanliness of all assigned areas and provide guests with quality service in a timely and friendly manner. The overnight cleaner may also be responsible for additional valet tasks and covering the Front Desk Agent’s break periods as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain the back-of-house area, including bathrooms, restaurant outlets, and common areas.
  • Clean and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of specified hotel areas, including the lobby, hallways, public restrooms, and guest/public areas in and around the hotel, including sidewalks.
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, instruments, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Report needed repairs of equipment or any maintenance deficiency to maintenance or housekeeping supervisor.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, helpful, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
  • Attend to guest requests, inquiries and complaints and refer unresolved issues to supervisor or Manager of Duty in a timely manner.
  • Check and replenish required supplies and cleaning tools.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Other Functions

  • Perform work duties in accordance with Company safety and security policies and procedures, as well as OSHA, HazCom, Bloodborne Pathogen regulations, and other applicable state, local, and federal regulations.
  • Report out-of-the-ordinary issues and unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Coordinate services to provide guest satisfaction by maintaining contact with other departments (Front Desk, Housekeeping, Bell, and Valet).
