Position: Part-Time Cleaner

Reports to: General Manager (GM)/ Assistant Manager (AM)

Department: Operations

Purpose: The Part-Time Cleaner will be responsible for the overall cleanliness of all areas of the facility to ensure a positive member experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms, locker room areas, shower rooms, stall walls and doors, and all waste areas, including sink and vanity areas and mirrors.
  2. Inspect and clean all windows and window frames, both interior and exterior.
  3. Detail clean all baseboards, wall trim, walls and handrails throughout the facility, ensuring all surfaces are free of handprints, scuff marks, and dust.
  4. Dust and clean all air vents, TVs, PF signage, storage or glass doors, and light fixtures.
  5. Remove or “push down” trash from all waste areas.
  6. Vacuum all rubber or tile flooring throughout the gym floor, including auxiliary rooms and under gym equipment.
  7. Scrub or mop all rubber or tile flooring throughout the gym floor, including auxiliary rooms and under gym equipment.
  8. Keep all storage rooms clean, organized, and properly arranged on shelving racks, discarding loose boxes and trash.
  9. Notify club management if inventory for cleaning supplies is low and needs replenishment.

Qualifications:

  1. Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  2. HS diploma or equivalent required.
  3. Custodial experience is preferred.
  4. Must demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality skills.
  5. Honesty and humble work ethics.
  6. Great communication skills with internal and external customers.
  7. Must be team-oriented, motivated, and well-organized.
  8. Ability to think critically and evaluate solutions to problems proactively.

  1. Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have any supervisory responsibility.
  2. Work Environment: This job operates in a fitness club environment and routinely uses standard custodial equipment such as cleaning chemicals, floor scrubbers, and vacuums. The noise level in the club environment may be loud on a regular basis. Will be required to operate in lavatory areas.
  3. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
