Overnight Retail Cashier Job at Jacksons Food Stores in Sparks

Overview

As an Overnight Cashier, you’ll be a vital part of our customer service team, ensuring efficient and friendly transactions during the late-night hours.

Pay: Starting at $16.25 an hour with $1.00 differential. Shift: 10:00pm - 6:00am. Overnight shift differential eligibility requires a minimum of 4 hours between 10:00pm and 7:00am.

Must be 21+ for this role.

What will I do on the Graveyard Shift?

• Greet every customer with a smile, thank them for their business, and invite them back
• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience
• Accurately ring up sales and merchandise, offer available discounts/promotions while following all company policies and applicable laws regarding restricted sales. Must be of legal age to sell and stock regulated products
• Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store
• Properly label, rotate and stock shelves, coolers, and displays
• Additional duties as assigned

• A level of knowledge of cashiering in food service or retail environments is preferred
• The ability to think quickly on your feet and react to change
• Must be legal age to sell regulated products including tobacco and alcohol. NV only — legal age to work around slot machines

Physical Requirements

• Frequently stand, walk, bend, and twist; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk and listen
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 65 pounds
• Work safely in conditions including heat, cold, allergens, noise, and fumes/odors from gasoline and cleaning chemicals
