The Housekeeping Overnight Floor Tech is responsible for responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surface and carpet (stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction & bonneting) of areas that include offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, meeting rooms, classrooms, and other public areas.

The Housekeeping Overnight Floor Tech is responsible for responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surface and carpet (stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction & bonneting) of areas that include offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, meeting rooms, classrooms, and other public areas.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains constant awareness of safety issues, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons). Reports all safety incidents to the on-duty supervisor.
- Report and deliver lost and found items to the Housekeeping office.
- Report any needed repairs immediately to supervisor (such as leaky faucets or toilets,
- Maintains a systematic floor care program for all floor surfaces, including marble floors, walls, counters, floor tiles, and wood surfaces.
- Shampoos all carpet on the property when needed.
- Cleans, waxes, or polishes floor surfaces using a variety of tools.
- Maintains a cleaning schedule for all floor surfaces.
- Maintains proper working condition of all floor cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Ensures proper use of floor care chemicals.
- Performs any other duties as requested by supervisor.
- Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
- Ability to move, bend, stoop, lift, push, pull, and carry up to 25-30 pounds.
- Ability to lift & move up to 60 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to perform assigned duties with minimal supervision.
- A flexible schedule that allows Monday - Sunday availability to work 3rd shift: 10pm - 6:30am, holidays, and weekends based on the demands of the hotel.
