The Housekeeping Overnight Floor Tech is responsible for responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surface and carpet (stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction & bonneting) of areas that include offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, meeting rooms, classrooms, and other public areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains constant awareness of safety issues, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons). Reports all safety incidents to the on-duty supervisor.
  • Report and deliver lost and found items to the Housekeeping office.
  • Report any needed repairs immediately to supervisor (such as leaky faucets or toilets,
  • Maintains a systematic floor care program for all floor surfaces, including marble floors, walls, counters, floor tiles, and wood surfaces.
  • Shampoos all carpet on the property when needed.
  • Cleans, waxes, or polishes floor surfaces using a variety of tools.
  • Maintains a cleaning schedule for all floor surfaces.
  • Maintains proper working condition of all floor cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Ensures proper use of floor care chemicals.
  • Performs any other duties as requested by supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • Ability to move, bend, stoop, lift, push, pull, and carry up to 25-30 pounds.
  • Ability to lift & move up to 60 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and perform repetitive motions.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties with minimal supervision.
  • A flexible schedule that allows Monday - Sunday availability to work 3rd shift: 10pm - 6:30am, holidays, and weekends based on the demands of the hotel.
