Job Description:

  • The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) interacts directly with patients, drawing blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing following established procedures.
  • The PSR II creates a trusting environment by explaining procedures clearly and performing blood draws skillfully, safely, and accurately.
  • Demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.
  • Assignments may include working in a doctor's office, patient service center, or as needed based on business requirements.
  • Under supervision, performs daily tasks accurately, maintains safety and professionalism, and ensures proper documentation and record-keeping.
  • Verifies patient demographic information and labels specimens correctly, maintaining quality standards.

Job Requirements:

  • Must provide error-free, quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime, based on staffing needs.
  • Adherence to all policies, safety procedures, and dress code.
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record if applicable.
  • Travel and flexible hours required to cover multiple locations.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
  • Strong customer focus and excellent communication skills.
  • Training locations may vary.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred, required in CA, NV, WA.
  • Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
  • Customer service experience and data entry skills preferred.

Additional Details:

  • Work hours: M-F, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm.
  • Candidates must list home city and commute time on their resume.
  • Rate is based on direct experience; overlapping roles do not double count.
  • Reliable transportation required; public transport or rideshare is not acceptable.
  • Must be punctual, dependable, and available for scheduled shifts.
  • Candidates should verify their commute time to ensure it is within 20-25 minutes.
