Job Description:
- The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) interacts directly with patients, drawing blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing following established procedures.
- The PSR II creates a trusting environment by explaining procedures clearly and performing blood draws skillfully, safely, and accurately.
- Demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.
- Assignments may include working in a doctor's office, patient service center, or as needed based on business requirements.
- Under supervision, performs daily tasks accurately, maintains safety and professionalism, and ensures proper documentation and record-keeping.
- Verifies patient demographic information and labels specimens correctly, maintaining quality standards.
Job Requirements:
- Must provide error-free, quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime, based on staffing needs.
- Adherence to all policies, safety procedures, and dress code.
- Good judgment and decision-making skills.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record if applicable.
- Travel and flexible hours required to cover multiple locations.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
- Strong customer focus and excellent communication skills.
- Training locations may vary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred, required in CA, NV, WA.
- Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
- Customer service experience and data entry skills preferred.
Additional Details:
- Work hours: M-F, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm.
- Candidates must list home city and commute time on their resume.
- Rate is based on direct experience; overlapping roles do not double count.
- Reliable transportation required; public transport or rideshare is not acceptable.
- Must be punctual, dependable, and available for scheduled shifts.
- Candidates should verify their commute time to ensure it is within 20-25 minutes.
