Responsibilities

• The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
• Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare those specimens for lab testing following established practices and procedures.
• Interact directly with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and drawing blood in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
• Demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Performs, with confidence, both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public at large.

Qualifications

• Job Requirements: Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills including pediatric and geriatric populations.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Education

• Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).

Work Experience

• Minimum of 6 months experience REQUIRED. One or more years phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience a must.

Additional Job Details

• Must list home city/commute time to jobsite on resume - rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in resume. Overlapping roles do not count twice. Refer to Southeast rate card breakdown provided by Broadleaf, if any questions.
• Candidate must have reliable transportation to get to/from worksite (bus, Uber, rideshare is not reliable transportation).
• Must be available to work whenever scheduled, BE ON TIME, and stay for the entire shift. Excessive absenteeism/tardiness is not tolerated and will be cause for termination.
• Please verify commute time to/from the physical work location when submitting candidates. Candidates need to be within a 20-25 min commute window to ensure travel capability to the site.
