Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Phlebotomists to support the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System located at 215 Perry Hill Rd, Montgomery, AL 36109. Responsibilities

• Draw blood samples for inpatient and outpatient services
• Ensure proper patient identification to prevent errors
• Accession and process specimens for testing
• Maintain positive relationships with staff and patients
• Follow all infection control policies and procedures
• Work under the supervision of the Phlebotomy Supervisor
• Participate in training and continuing education sessions

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved phlebotomy training course (or equivalent)
• American Heart Association (AHA) CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience
• Proficiency in blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques, urine drug screens, paternity collections, breath/saliva alcohol testing, LCM/Cyber Tools, TestCup, pediatric blood collections, and difficult draws
• No sponsorship available

Physical Requirements

• Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach during the shift
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
• Lift up to 20 lbs
• Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
• Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
