Job Location - Naples, FL

Job Duration - 4+ Months

Shift/Time Zone - Day - EST - Monday - Friday - 6am-2:30pm with rotational Saturdays

Must have flexibility for availability between 6am-3pm

Job Summary:

  • The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of our company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
  • The PSR II draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
  • The PSR II has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
  • The PSR II will demonstrate leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
  • Successful applicants may be assigned to a doctor's office, a patient service center, or as business needs dictate.
  • Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
  • Maintain a safe and professional environment.
  • Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
  • Verify patient demographic info/initials, including patient signature post-venipuncture, to ensure tubes were labeled in their presence and the name on the label is correct.
  • Maintain required records and documentation.
  • Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Flexibility and availability based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
  • Adhere to all policies & procedures, including dress code, employee health & safety, and guiding principles.
  • Make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record, if applicable.
  • Travel and flexible hours required to work at multiple locations with minimal notice.
  • Handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
  • Superior customer focus, open communication, adaptability to change, and business knowledge.
  • Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.

Required Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Work Experience:

  • Three years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
  • Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience.
  • Floaters travel between multiple sites and must be punctual.
  • Must have a clean driving record and can submit mileage for reimbursement.

Additional Job Details:

  • Reliable transportation to/from worksite required (public transit, Uber, rideshare not reliable).
  • Availability to work scheduled shifts, punctuality, and full shift adherence required.
  • Excessive absenteeism/tardiness may lead to termination.
  • Candidates should verify commute time to ensure a 20-25 min travel window.
  • Floaters travel between sites and must be on time; mileage can be reimbursed.
