Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma - Enid, OK. Hours: Monday–Friday, hours vary. Essential functions include showing up on time and prepared, performing tasks within qualification, maintaining a positive attitude, and collaborating with teammates. Main duties include collection of blood and urine specimens, accessioning patient information and tests, processing specimens, obtaining billing information and ICD-10 data when necessary, and communicating effectively with internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Knowledge of venipuncture techniques using vacutainer needles and hubs, butterfly devices, safety needles and syringes.
- Proficiency in collecting blood specimens from all age groups including pediatrics and geriatrics.
- Ability to handle large volumes of patients in a timely manner.
- Ability to interact with all DLO departments and clients; proficient computer use.
Qualifications
- Special Requirement: May need to meet the client needs by coming in early or staying late when necessary. May be relocated as business needs require.
- Physical and Mental Requirements: Lift objects 1–40 pounds frequently, occasional up to 40 pounds; sit/stand for long periods; repetitive tasks with dominant hand; travel may be required; extensive use of phone and PC; fine dexterity; walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting.
