SUMMARY: The Certified Phlebotomy Tech follows proper procedures in specimen collection, including patient identification, specimen collection, correct labeling, transportation, and receipt confirmation. The role involves collecting blood specimens via venous and capillary puncture, ensuring specimen adequacy. The technician also assists with non-technical functions, such as processing specimens for testing by CLS.

Requirements:

• Current CA Certified Phlebotomy Technician License
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of one (1) year of general acute experience preferred
