Assist the head coach with the following duties as assigned:

• Serve as a positive role model to the players, parents, and community members.
• Teach sport techniques, playing rules, strategies, and tactics.
• Condition athletes appropriately within local and stated guidelines for endurance, strength, and agility activities.
• Preside over team activities including practices and games.
• Teach sportsmanship, cooperation, work ethic, and responsibility.
• Monitor conduct during games.
• Manage equipment and facilities responsibly.
• Perform related duties as required.
• Report information to supervisor/athletic director.
• Follow all relevant guidelines and regulations regarding working with children and students.
• Communicate effectively with parents, athletic director, principal, and students.
• Motivate student-athletes to learn strategies, maintain grades, and serve as positive role models.

• Ability to work well with student-athletes of varying abilities.
• Basic knowledge of sport; willingness to learn and follow rules.
• Prior coaching experience helpful but not required.
• Follow instructions, work cooperatively, be neat and honest, and work as needed on weekdays, weekends, or holidays.

• Criminal justice fingerprint background clearance.
